FREE Non-Emergency Tech Helpline (Florida Bar Member Benefit)

Did you know? If you’re a member of The Florida Bar, you have access to a free, non-emergency tech helpline. LawTech Partners runs this amazing resource that offers routine remote services, including basic troubleshooting, operating system support, and technical setup for home and remote offices.

The helpline has been promoted mainly to solo and small-firm practitioners who are less likely to be able to afford their own IT services but it’s available to all Florida Bar members in good standing. Click the image or this link to get started.

We have some GREAT CLE coming your way!

Here’s a shout-out to our section’s amazing CLE Committee Chair Linda Calvert-Hanson, a former Director of the Henry Latimer Center for Professionalism. She’s retired from the practice of law, but Linda volunteers a considerable amount of time to produce a wide array of timely, relevant CLE for solos and small firms. The section’s free Wednesday Wisdom series, moderated by Joshua Hertz, is a $500 value to you!

Check out the section’s calendar page to learn more about the programming Linda has scheduled for this fall.

Branching Out to Expand Your Clientele

Coaching trees are like family trees but they show how one coach produced other successful coaches who went on to other teams.

When we talk about expanding relationships, lawyers often think about a particular client contact: “How can I get more of the same work from this person or how can I get this person to use other services or offices of the firm?” However, like coaching trees, client contacts can frequently lead to other new opportunities if you’re paying attention. Here’s how to branch out and find new prospects.

Thank you to our 2021-22 section sponsors.
