NEW Initiative:  Life’s Legal Moments

In case you missed it, The Florida Bar recently launched “Life’s Legal Moments” to help Floridians navigate legal issues. The “LLM” program is an initiative of Florida Bar President Gary Lesser that provides helpful resources on how to hire lawyers, where Floridians may find lawyers to meet their specific needs, and how to navigate the legal system.

The recently launched Life’s Legal Moments website (FloridaLawyersCanHelp.com) provides a host of resources including research showing the benefits of hiring a lawyer. The LLM initiative was developed after a June 2022 survey found three out of every four Floridians consider the state’s legal system difficult to navigate.

Florida Appeals

Florida Appeals was founded by Shannon McLin in 2019 after practicing at the firm she founded in 1997, The Carlyle Appellate Law Firm. The firm provides comprehensive, high-quality appellate and litigation-support services to trial lawyers and their clients throughout Florida. They believe that success at any level of litigation starts with thorough research, clear and concise writing, and well-reasoned legal analysis.

Trial lawyers provide an important role as advocates who present the case to the factfinder. The most effective legal teams feature both trial and appellate lawyers, each playing to their respective strengths for the client’s benefit. Florida Appeals’ appellate lawyers represent clients in appeals in all of Florida’s district courts of appeal, the Supreme Court of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. The Florida Appeals team looks forward to working with solo and small firm lawyers throughout Florida.

We appreciate Florida Appeals’ support as an annual Section Supporter.
